Avoiding the Timesuck
episode 1: What the Structure?

Steffi in my parent's backyard.
This is also where Mark (my brother) and I did our workouts last year
This podcast episode chronicles my experience throughout the COVID-19 pandemic as I grapple with re-establishing structure. Prior to the pandemic I was using structures in society to help organize me in time in space, like the bus schedule. However, I didn't realize to what extent until these structures in society disappeared due to lockdown and stay at home orders.

I created this podcast episode with two styles of podcasting in mind; (1) the American and (2) the European approach. The American approach is centered on storytelling, audio vignettes and having a host led narrative. The European approach still has a host, yet has a much more relaxed approach to narrative development and borderlines on a piece of art due to the creative incorporation of sound. This episode of Avoiding the Timesuck has been influenced by both.
